Taban Shimi Kian Company Overview
Taban Shimi Kian Company was established in 1996 (1375 in the Iranian calendar) with the aim of producing di-calcium phosphate and mono-calcium phosphate to supply the calcium and phosphorus requirements in the diets of livestock, poultry, and aquatic animals—products which, until then, had been imported into Iran from foreign countries. The company was founded in the Eshtehard Industrial City, located in Alborz Province, and began constructing its factory based on national needs and up-to-date scientific knowledge.
In 1997 (1376), with the registration of the Taban Shimi Kian brand, the company started recruiting and training its personnel. It successfully began production of two strategic products—di-calcium phosphate (18,000 tons annual capacity) and mono-calcium phosphate (4,500 tons annual capacity). That same year, the company obtained the necessary licenses from the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade (MIMT) as well as pharmaceutical permits for the mentioned products from the Veterinary Organization of Iran.
Given that quality improvement and enhancement of products has always been a core value and concern for the management and staff of Taban Shimi Kian, the company also received a license to use the Iranian National Standard Mark in the same year. This certification is a testament to the high and consistent quality of the company’s products. Since then, in addition to constant oversight by the Veterinary Organization as the licensing authority, the company has also been regularly monitored and evaluated by the National Standards Organization of Iran, and has continuously been recognized as a model unit in maintaining quality.
In 2010 (1389), Taban Shimi Kian, relying on its expert workforce and modern machinery and quality control laboratories, successfully formulated and developed a new compound. Despite having only half the phosphorus content of di-calcium phosphate, the product demonstrated double the bioavailability. This innovative product, named Phosphomin-D, received a patent registration certificate and made Taban Shimi Kian the sole producer of this compound in the world. That same year, the product also received its veterinary pharmaceutical license and was well received by livestock and poultry farmers.
As part of its continuous growth and development, in 2005 (1384), the company launched the construction of its second factory in the same Eshtehard Industrial City to produce detergents and disinfectants. That year, it successfully introduced two products: Azomet (a fumigating disinfectant) and Fumagen (a washing and disinfecting product). In addition to securing patent registrations and brand name certifications for both products, the company also obtained veterinary pharmaceutical production licenses from the Veterinary Organization.
During the COVID-19 pandemic: recognizing the significant effectiveness of Fumagen in eliminating the coronavirus from public places, and driven by its sense of social responsibility, Taban Shimi Kian formed volunteer groups to disinfect public areas, hospitals, and cemeteries. These efforts, carried out continuously for about 1.5 years in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Veterinary Organization, added a golden chapter to the company’s history.
Powdered Lime:
This product is, in fact, powdered quicklime, produced by heating limestone to 1600°C and grinding the resulting material to a mesh size of approximately 400. With a phenolic coefficient of 20, it is a suitable product for disinfecting livestock farms, poultry farms, slaughterhouses, as well as the exterior of breeding halls.
Arsiclean Solution:
Due to the use of phosphoric acid in the production of di- and mono-calcium phosphate, and the possible presence of fluoride and heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, mercury, etc., which can enter the human body through the animal food chain and pose serious health risks—and because other producers often lack the necessary filters and technologies to remove these elements—Taban Shimi Kian developed Arsiclean. When added to phosphoric acid, this product reduces fluoride and heavy metal content, bringing their levels in the final product down to standard limits.
Kani Bekr:
To address the growing problem of stray dogs across the country—and the lack of sufficient facilities to sterilize and release them back to their habitats, which has contributed to the spread of rabies, leishmaniasis, and dog bites in recent years—Taban Shimi Kian, in collaboration with academic institutions and university professors, developed a drug named Kani-Bekr. This product sterilizes stray dogs with a single injection. After four years of continuous research, eight university studies, and numerous theses, the company obtained a veterinary pharmaceutical license for this product. It is hoped that, with support from the Veterinary Organization, the Ministry of Health, and other relevant agencies, this humane, cost-effective, and impactful product will be adopted as a national initiative to resolve the issue of stray animals. Kani-Bekr, a joint product of Taban Shimi Kian and Royan Darou Company, represents a proud milestone in pharmaceutical collaboration within the country.
It is worth noting that all products of Taban Shimi Kian that hold pharmaceutical manufacturing licenses from the Veterinary Organization are freely marketable and are produced and offered in full compliance with GMP regulations and at the highest quality standards.
